Charming Kalimpong Escape

After breakfast, we begin our drive towards Zuluk – once a key stop on the historic Silk Route connecting India and Tibet. En route, we halt at Lingtam, Padamchen, and the scenic Quekhola Falls, a perfect spot for a refreshing mini waterfall stop. As we ascend, the views become increasingly dramatic. By evening, arrive in Zuluk and settle in for a cozy mountain night. Today’s lunch and dinner are arranged.

Today we go on a scenic drive through the high Himalayan bends of Zuluk. Your first stop is the Thambi Viewpoint, known for its surreal panoramic views of the 32 hairpin bends and on a clear day, the mighty Kanchenjunga.

Continue to the misty Lungthung Viewpoint, and then drive through the dramatic landscapes of Tukla Valley, dotted with war memorials and wild beauty.

Next, visit the revered Old Baba Mandir, a shrine dedicated to the legendary soldier Baba Harbhajan Singh. End your day at the breathtaking Kupup Lake, also known as Elephant Lake, with its crystal-clear waters nestled amidst alpine serenity.
Return to Zuluk by evening.

Today we descend from the highlands and drive towards Reshikhola, a serene riverside retreat on the border of Sikkim and West Bengal. After check-in, enjoy a peaceful riverside jungle trail, perfect for unwinding amidst chirping birds and flowing water. The evening is free for relaxation or riverside bonfire activities.

This morning, after having breakfast we proceed to the hill town of Kalimpong, known for its colonial charm and cheerful ambience. On arrival, enjoy a relaxed session of café hopping, discovering cozy local cafés with mountain views, great coffee, and local treats. discover the charms of Kalimpong market & cafés and enjoy your time-off there to have dinner on your own.

After breakfast, we explore the beautiful sights of Kalimpong. Visit the peaceful Deolo Viewpoint, offering panoramic views of the town and distant Himalayas. Continue to the historic Durpin Monastery, known for its grand structure and tranquil environment. Later, enjoy a thrilling river rafting session, a fun group activity with a mild thrill amidst nature.

After breakfast, we bid farewell to the hills and begin our journey back to Bagdogra Airport taking along memories of misty mountains, winding trails, and peaceful villages.
